Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

At the Perceptual Neuroscience group, you will have the opportunity to work with successful researchers in a scientific field bridging neuroscience and psychology while attempting to understand how the human brain process smells. We are looking for a research specialist who can analyze complex data from a range of imaging methods and who likes to implement new methods. What we can offer is a large, active, and international research environment where you have the opportunity to conduct research at the highest international level in a successful and well-funded lab.

Your mission

As a research specialist in the research group, you will analyze imaging data acquired either using EEG (source/time-frequency analyses) or (f)MRI methods using both standard analyses methods as well as be expected to implement analyses pipelines for novel methods. You will analyze data for projects assigned to you as well as expected to provide assistance to other group members. You will work both independently on some projects but also as a group on larger projects in collaborations with international research groups as well as data scientists at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). As an example of a project you might be working on, read more here.

Your profile

We are looking for an individual that has an academic degree (masters or PhD) in an area of relevance to the position. You need to have a solid understanding of both signal analysis and inference statistics. The successful applicant will probably have prior experience with analyzing complex data, preferably acquired via neuroimaging methods (EEG/(f)MRI). Moreover, you will have one or several of the following desired qualifications: solid experience with programing related to signal or image processing; experience with EEG source analyses; experience with MVPA, RSA, or similar analyses methods on fMRI data; experience with network modelling of large scale neural data. We expect you to be able to work in an international research group where English is the working language and where it is OK to respectfully question results. The work involves close collaboration with others and demand flexibility and excellent communication skills.
