Division
The lab is founded within the dermatology division. The group is interested in interaction of lymphocytes and epithelial cells in inflammatory skin diseases. In particular, there are three foci: reclassifying inflammatory skin diseases based on pathogenesis, molecular diagnostics of inflammatory skin diseases, and studying early events of inflammatory skin diseases.

Duties
The primary project is to investigate effects of TLR7/8 application at non-involved skin and preexisting psoriasis lesions. Clinical evaluation of the patients as well as non-invasive measurements of skin inflammation are necessary. Therefore, travelling to the collaboration partner in Munich is needed and a clinical background is useful. Resulting skin lesions are investigated using multiple read-outs. The applicant will need to help building up the new working group. Participation in group acitivities such as journal clubs is required.

Entry requirements
A person is eligible to be appointed Senior Researcher if he or she has been awarded a Degree of Doctor or has achieved the corresponding scientific competence, as well as documented research after publicly defending his or her doctoral thesis corresponding to qualification as Assistant professor.

Bases of assessment
The project requires access to psoriasis patients willing to participate in the study (collaboration with the Biobank Biederstein in Munich, Germany). Required skills are obtaining skin biopsies, tissue lysis and multi-color flow cytometry, human cell culture including lymphocyte cloning, immune-histochemistry. As the project is done in close collaboration with Munich, German language skills are preferable.
