Position
Applications are invited for a position as a research assistant at NatMEG, Karolinska Institutet. The position is within an ongoing project aimed at new diagnostics for Parkinson´s disease (PD). Within the project, MEG data, clinical and behavioral data is used to estimate disease severity and disease progression in individuals with PD, and to detect individuals at risk of developing this condition. The successful candidate will work with collecting and analyzing MEG data, work with experimental protocols, analyze behavioral and MEG data, and contribute to presentation and publication of results. The candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team and be part of an ongoing project, but will be welcome to contribute to experiments in its own area of interest, develop analysis approaches, etc. within the project. NatMEG
NatMEG is the first and only research laboratory in Sweden for whole-head measurements of neuronal brain activity using magnetoencephalography (MEG). The NatMEG lab was inaugurated in October 2013, and is a national facility, available for researchers from all across Sweden. Because of the lab’s national function, projects at NatMEG span across the areas of instrumentation (e.g. on-scalp MEG sensors), clinical applications (epilepsy evaluations), clinical neuroscience (e.g. Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease, ADHD, autism, hypertension, and preterm infants) and cognitive neuroscience (e.g. memory, language, attention, perception, pain, music, decision making, emotion recognition). The candidate will be supervised by Associate Professor Daniel Lundqvist, Head of unit at NatMEG; and by Mikkel Vinding, postdoctoral researcher at NatMEG (http://www.natmeg.se/).

Entry requirements
We are looking for a candidate who wants to work in the field of cognitive and clinical neuroscience, and has an interest in Parkinson’s disease. The applicant should have an academic degree (or be close to graduation) in the field of psychology, medicine, nursing, BMA, cognitive science or equivalent. It´s preferable if the candidate has prevised experience from brain imaging (MRI, PET, EEG or MEG), psychology or neuroscience research, MEG data collection and data analysis. The successful candidate is independent, professional, and service minded, and enjoys interacting with researchers and research subjects. The candidate should master academic English and it´s an advantage if the candidate also has good spoken and written Swedish.
