At the Division of Rheumatology at the Department of Medicine Solna, we conduct research on diseases affecting the musculoskeletal system, inflammatory as well as non-inflammatory. The Division of Rheumatology offers good opportunities to clinical and translational research on unique patient groups from the clinic along with biomedical and experimental animal research.
The selected postdoctoral candidate will work on elucidating SLE pathogenesis and on validation of novel diagnostic biomarkers and will be supervised by Associate Professor Ioannis Parodis. The main focus of the successful candidate will be to validate the novel SLE-associated autoantigens recently identified by the group, and tasks include development of serological assays, preforming IHC and IF staining.
We are looking for highly skilled and motivated candidate who is interested in applying new technologies and tools for understanding the mechanisms underlying autoimmune diseases.
To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a phd or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish phd is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
