Are you motivated to develop into an independent scholar and scientist of the brain mechanisms of human somatosensation? Then join the Somatosensation&Gargalesis lab as a postdoc, to better understand the neuroscience of self-touch perception in humans.

Your mission

You will be involved in designing, collecting, and analyzing behavioral and neuroimaging experiments, including psychophysical, physiological, and behavioral recordings. The position encompasses all stages of the research process, from conducting literature review to study design implementation, data collection, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.

Your profile

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a phd or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish phd is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.

  • You hold or are about to complete a PhD in Neuroscience, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
  • You have a passion for research in tactile sensing.
  • You have documented experience with collecting and analysing behavioural or physiological data.
  • You have experience with, or are interested in, collecting and analysing neuroimaging data (e.g., MRI, fMRI, MEG, EEG, DTI).
  • You are curious, ambitious, and are able to work independently.
  • You have strong communication and coordination skills.
  • You are fluent in academic English (speaking and writing).
