The Department of Medicine, Solna, is one of the largest clinical departments at Karolinska Institutet. The department is divided into divisions which in turn consist of one or more research groups. The activity consists of research, postgraduate education and undergraduate education for future doctors and biomedicine scientists. The department has three profile areas: allergy, cardiovascular medicine and inflammatory diseases

Your mission

We are looking for a research assistant who will work in a project where we compare different methods for isolation of extracellular vesicles or exosomes. The employment includes experimental laboratory work, data processing, data analysis, scientific publishing, and report writing.

Your profile

To be eligible, an applicant should hold a Master’s (second-cycle) degree in medicine, bio-medicine, biochemistry/cell biology or similar topic, or have otherwise acquired essentially equivalent competence in Sweden or abroad. Experience with work on extracellular vesicles is advantageous.

Location

The position is located within the Department of Medicine, Solna. The department consists of twelve divisions and each division consists of several research groups. The position is located within the research group  led by Susanne Gabrielsson which studies natural nanovesicles called exosomes.
