The candidate will be working in a team at the department of Global Public Health and be involved in a research project in the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). The chosen applicant will be responsible for conducting a costing analysis for a comprehensive sexual education program and drafting a grant proposal for developing an economic model to assess the health impact of the intervention. The candidate will support in the design and implementation of a research project, coordinate activities related to data collection, analysis and lead report writing and relevant publications in the group. In addition, the chosen candidate will be expected to support/assist in the development of new research proposals by contributing to grant writing applications. Other additional tasks may apply, including but not limited to, reporting on the research project status and assisting in teaching activities that may take place within the scope of the department.
The chosen applicant must have a master’s degree in social sciences, preferably with relevance to health economics. Previous experience related to costing, health economic evaluation and/or grant writing is mandatory. A proven interest in adolescent health issues and/or global health and previous work experience in LMIC settings is required. Critical analysis skills of data with reference to global health is compulsory. The candidate must show previous experience in research or project management, have experience in quantitative data analysis and excellent command of English. Previously published and experience with software like TreeAge for modelling is a meritorious.
