Our group focuses on research on the human childhood tumors neuroblastoma and medulloblastoma.

Your mission
The successful candidate is expected to bring new knowledge and lead high quality research projects from the design and performance to publication to be carried out in collaboration with the project team and other group members. The candidate is expected to use of models of human cancer such as patient-derived tumor cells, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC), PDX (patient derived xenografts) and mouse models of cancer for drug development. The projects are multidisciplinary. Network interactions with clinical and biotechnology disciplines are desirable.

Your profile
Qualified to be employed as a postdoc is one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence. Applicants who have not completed a doctorate at the end of the application period may also apply, provided that all requirements for a completed degree are met before the (intended) date of employment. This must be substantiated by the applicant's main supervisor, director or equivalent.

We are looking for highly motivated and experienced candidate with a good track record. A PhD in Medicine, or Cell and Molecular Biology, and research experience at other national or international Universities and/or research centers. A strong experience in pediatric or adult malignancies and experimental models of human cancer for drug development is required. Expertise and experience in the research field of childhood cancer are required. Experience in precision medicine and in tumor histopathology is an advantage. Experience in supervision of Bachelor, Master and/or PhD students is a pre-requisite. We stress research expertise when assessing applicants.

The applicant should be able to begin as soon as possible, before the summer.
