Karolinska Institutet, Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology

The Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology (MTC) at Karolinska Institutet conducts research and teaching in immunology, infection biology, cell biology and cancer. MTC has about 430 active employees, including many PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, senor scientists, lecturers and professors.

We are seeking a research assistant to work in the team of Dr. Jonathan Coquet at MTC. The group studies T cell-mediated immunity in the context of allergy and cancer. For more information about the research, see https://ki.se/en/mtc/jonathan-coquet-group

The project comprises work on human lymphoma cells. Duties include bacterial transformations, transfections, transductions, sgRNA-mediated knock-out of genes, flow cytometry, gene expression analysis, in vitro culturing techniques, cell activations and drug susceptibility assays.

Entry requirements
To be qualified for the project, previous experience in as many of the above techniques as possible is preferential. The applicant should have some experience in the laboratory setting and be knowledgeable in the theory behind the techniques described above
