Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

Division of Physiological Chemistry I stems from the laboratory of Jöns Jacob Berzelius (1779- 1848), the great Swedish scientist and the first Chemistry professor at KI. Among other achievements, Berzelius pioneered mass measurements in Chemistry, having published in 1818 a table of accurate weights of most of the known elements. Continuing Berzelius’ tradition, the Division bases its research on mass spectrometry. It also hosts a cell lab and two proteomics core facilities

Your mission

You will work closely with stem cell researchers and proteomics core facility staff. Your duty will be to participate in the development of novel proteomics approaches to address various biomedically important issues, in particular analysis of deamidated proteins and they ways to reverse deamidation.

Your profile

Qualified to be accepted as a postdoctoral fellow is the one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence, preferably with background in proteomics. Documented experience in experimentation with mass spectrometry as well as data analysis using R is beneficial. Applicants who have not completed a doctorate at the end of the application period may also apply, provided that all requirements for a completed degree are met before the (intended) date of employment. This must be substantiated by the applicant's main supervisor, director or equivalent.

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required.
