The subject of the Research Specialist position centers around the development and validation of new techniques and tools in the field of fluorescence microscopy. This includes designing and implementing experiments to improve the resolution, accuracy, and sensitivity of fluorescence microscopy, as well as optimizing imaging protocols and developing new functional imaging modalities for specific biological applications. The Research Specialist will work in a dynamic, interdisciplinary team to drive innovation and develop cutting-edge technologies in the field of super-resolution microscopy, with the ultimate goal of advancing our understanding of biological systems and improving human health.
As a Research Specialist in super-resolution fluorescence microscopy, the successful candidate will lead the design and execution of experiments aimed at pushing the boundaries of super-resolution microscopy and time-resolved fluorescence techniques. Specifically, they will spearhead a research project focused on using smart fluorescent probes to advance fluorescent anisotropy techniques with super-resolution capabilities. Collaboration with other team members will be key to optimizing imaging protocols and tailoring techniques to address specific biological questions.
To be eligible for employment as a Research Specialist, in addition to holding a Degree of Doctor, PhD, or having equivalent scientific expertise, the applicant must have demonstrated research expertise as well as have documented research experience after defending their doctoral dissertation.
