If so, join our research group in reproductive, perinatal and pediatric epidemiology which consists of researchers, statisticians, postdocs and PhD-students conducting studies related to pregnancy, delivery and the neonatal period using national population-based health and quality registers. Reproductive, perinatal and pediatric epidemiology focus on factors during reproduction, pregnancy, and infancy that influence short-and long-term health outcomes.
The proposed work will include collaboration between epidemiologists, statisticians, and clinicians working within this field at the Clinical Epidemiology Division. Data sources include primarily cohorts from national population-based health and quality registers, but also data from the Stockholm-Gotland Obstetrical Cohort, a cohort that has been established at the Clinical Epidemiology Division that includes electronical medical journal data from the counties of Stockholm and Gotland.
The work will include studies of exposures during pregnancy and maternal and offspring short-and long-term health.

The research specialist time will be devoted to data and database management, analysis, manuscript preparation and career development. The candidate will be asked to collaborate with others, including graduate students, and provide her/his expertise in other projects.
To be eligible for employment as a Research Specialist, in addition to holding a Degree of Doctor, PhD, or having equivalent scientific expertise, the applicant must have demonstrated research expertise as well as have documented research experience after defending their doctoral dissertation.

The successful candidate has a strong interest and background in epidemiology or biostatistics. The candidate we are looking for is highly collaborative and generous with sharing her/his knowledge. She/he is an independent programmer, with a strong interest epidemiology methodology. Key skills include epidemiologic study design, various sorts of data modeling, and manuscript writing.

The position is located within the Department of Medicine, Solna. The department consists of twelve divisions and each division consists of several research groups. The position is located within the group reproductive epidemiology which is a young and rapidly growing group at the Clinical Epidemiology Division and includes 40 professionals, including researchers, postdocs and PhD-students. Our research focuses on risk factors and interventions during pregnancy, childbirth and the neonatal period as well as outcomes for mother and infant. We have a strong collaboration with clinical departments, including paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology and other national and international research groups. The group has extensive experience in research in perinatal outcomes using advanced methods in biostatistics and clinical epidemiology.
