We have an open summer job position for 3 months in the Team of Cancer Genetics led by Emma Tham, part of the Clinical Genetics research group at the Department of Molecular Medicine, KI located in Bioclinicum and in collaboration with Clinical Genomics, SciLifeLab, both at the Karolinska University Hospital site in Solna.
Area of responsibilities/description of the work
We are looking for a motivated person with experience in working with cell-free DNA and digital PCR. The work will be focused on extracting cell-free DNA from plasma and optimizing both singleplex and multiplex droplet digital PCRs on tissue DNA and then performing the PCRs on cell-free DNA.
Qualifications
Education equivalent to a master’s degree in biochemistry/biotechnology/biosciences. Experience in handling cell-free DNA and performing digital PCR. Knowledge on how to handle patient samples. You should be able to organize your work and document it so that others can understand what you have done. You need to be fluent in English.
