Our group develops and applies novel computational and single-cell genomics approaches to understand how transcriptional regulation and alternative splicing shape immune cell states, with a particular focus on T-cell regulation, endocrine organs and autoimmune disease. We are particularly interested in how immune cells respond immediately to stimulation and how these early molecular events may shape later cell fate and functional outcomes, The successful candidate will work at the interface of computational biology, single-cell technologies and immunology in a collaborative, method-driven research environment.

Your mission

You will be a computational research assistant in the team tasked with supporting and driving bioinformatic analyses in ongoing projects in the lab. The work will include analysis of single-cell and multi-omic sequencing data, development of reproducible workflows, and close collaboration with experimental researchers.

Your profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic computational research assistant to work on exciting challenges in single cell genomics, autoimmunity and endocrinology. The ideal candidate should have obtained a MSc degree in bioinformatics, computational biology or a related field. You should be familiar with Linux/Unix environments and have experience using R and/or Python for the analysis of biological data. Experience with NGS/genomics data, 16S rRNA sequencing data, or single-cell RNA-sequencing analysis is highly meriting. Previous experience with reproducible workflows, data visualization, statistics or high-performance computing is also considered an advantage. You must be able to communicate fluently in written and spoken English and demonstrate strong teamwork skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a research environment.

Location

The position is located within the Department of Medicine, Solna. The department consists of ten divisions and each division consists of several research groups. The position is located within the research group of Sophie Bensing within the Division of Experimental Endocrinology, with research activities connected to immune regulation, single-cell genomics, endocrinology and autoimmune disease.
