This is a golden opportunity if you are interested in the relationship between health, new technology and work with specific focus on technology design. We offer a dynamic, supportive and open research climate, where you are encouraged to think freely and explore your own research ideas. This is the right place if you want to grow from postdoc to PI.
New technology and changing consumer and production patterns are changing the world of work. This, in turn, affects working conditions – including the health, safety and wellbeing of workers.
You will be part of the Carin Håkansta research group, in which your skills and experiences in technology design and human-computer interaction will complement the skills of the other members in research focusing on how digital technologies, including algorithmic management, affect working conditions and health. The overall aim is to increase knowledge about the risks and opportunities of digitalisation for a healthy work environment.
You will contribute to several on-going research projects focusing on algorithmic management and gig-work, including the research programme ALGOSH: Algorithmic management at work - challenges, opportunities and strategies for occupational safety and health and wellbeing, in which you will be part of an international consortium of top researchers from Sweden, Finland, Canada, USA, Spain and Australia. We need your input in collecting and analysing data and publishing the results.
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills, take courses, supervise students, develop your own line of research and apply for your own funding. We offer a 2-year full-time fixed-term position with the possibility of extension.
We think that you have a PhD in human-computer interaction, interaction design, computer science or similar subjects.
Requirements:
To be eligible for employment as a postdoctoral researcher, a PhD or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish PhD is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. Completion of your doctoral degree within the last three years is considered an advantage. If there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
