The Ampatzis Lab at Karolinska Institutet is seeking a talented and motivated Research Assistant to join our dynamic and international research group. Our lab investigates how the nervous system adapts and regenerates under both physiological and pathological conditions. We employ a broad range of state-of-the-art methods, including electrophysiology, advanced imaging, neuroanatomy, and behavioral analyses, to uncover the mechanisms of neuroplasticity and repair.

Our research uses the adult zebrafish model system, an established and powerful organism for studying neural regeneration and functional recovery.

 

Your mission

Your profile

  • Recent MSc in Biology, Neuroscience, Biomedicine, Physiology, or a closely related field
  • Strong interest in neuroregeneration and plasticity
  • Solid foundation and enthusiasm for electrophysiological techniques
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
