Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

The Department of Laboratory Medicine at Karolinska Institutet consists of seven departments that conduct both research and education. With its strategic role linking basic science, clinical research and healthcare, the department offers a dynamic environment for translational research in areas such as clinical microbiology and immunology.

The Division of Clinical Microbiology is characterized by multidisciplinary research in infectious diseases that contributes translational knowledge to the development of new diagnostics and treatment methods.

The Systems Biology Laboratory is currently seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant in Infectious Disease Epidemiology to support our ongoing projects focused on infectious diseases, global health, and epidemiological modeling. The successful candidate will contribute to study design, data collection and analysis, literature reviews, and the dissemination of findings through reports and publications. You will support and independently conduct epidemiological and computational research activities, including:

  • Design, implementation, and analysis of infectious disease epidemiology studies
  • Systematic literature reviews and contributions to manuscript preparation
  • Statistical and computational modeling of disease transmission and control strategies
  • Data management, documentation of analyses, and participation in research meetings
