The Department of Laboratory Medicine at Karolinska Institutet consists of seven departments that conduct both research and education. The Division of Clinical Microbiology is characterized by multidisciplinary research in infectious diseases that contributes translational knowledge to the development of new diagnostics and treatment methods.
The Systems Biology Laboratory is currently seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant in Infectious Disease Epidemiology to support our ongoing projects focused on infectious diseases, global health, and epidemiological modeling. The successful candidate will contribute to study design, data collection and analysis, literature reviews, and the dissemination of findings through reports and publications. The role will involve collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across clinical, epidemiological, and data science domains. This is a temporary position valid for 1 year.
We are looking for a research assistant to join our team working at the intersection of infectious disease epidemiology, statistical modeling, and public health. The project focuses on understanding infectious disease transmission dynamics and evaluating control strategies through integrative approaches that combine epidemiological study design, systematic evidence synthesis, and advanced computational modeling. A major research focus is to investigate how epidemiological, environmental, and social factors shape disease spread and to generate evidence that informs effective prevention and intervention strategies.
