Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

Tony Pansell's research group seeks to hire a postoctoral researcher. In our research group, located at the Marianne Bernadotte Center (MBC), you’ll find a unique opportunity to work closely with leading scientists in neuroscience. Together, we aim to understand how eye movements and visual physiological measurements can explain how the human brain functions, both in healthy and affected states. We offer an engaging and international research environment where you’ll have the chance to contribute to high-quality research at a world-class level.

Your mission

As a postdoctoral researcher in our group, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading research projects in collaboration with scientists at the MBC
  • Engaging with patients and study participants to collect research data
  • Processing and analyzing collected data
  • Writing scientific articles in collaboration with researchers at MBC
  • Applying for external research funding

Your profile

We are looking for a candidate with a strong interest in visual perception and visual physiology. To be eligible, you must hold a doctoral degree with a strong background in neuroscience and neuropsychology. The candidate should have solid experience in programming eye trackers and visual stimulation, measuring eye movements, and analyzing eye movement data. Prior experience with the EyeLink system from SR Research is considered a merit. Fluency in spoken and written English is a must.

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor, a PhD or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish PhD is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. Completion of your doctoral degree within the last three years is considered an advantage.
