This employment is a special fixed term employment (SÄVA) for a maximum of 12 months.
The Mjösberg group studies the differentiation, regulation and function of innate lymphoid cells (ILCs) and T cells in humans, and how these cells contribute to pathology in mucosal organs such as the gut and airways (https://ki.se/en/medh/clinical-lung-and-allergy-research-unit-claru). The studies are translational as they involve advanced basic molecular and cellular immunological investigations of precious human tissue samples to discover novel disease mechanisms, therapy targets and biomarkers. The group is internationally recognized in the field through several high impact publications in recent years.
The main responsibilities for the research assistant will be to support the group’s work with research on human gut tissues including gut tumor materials. The duties will be tissue dissection, biobanking, isolation of lymphocytes as well as flow cytometry and single-cell RNA-sequencing analysis together with PhD students and postdocs in the lab.
