These innovations have laid the groundwork for spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, and epigenomics methods now used worldwide. Researchers are now working towards forming a Cluster of Excellence to strategize the advancement of spatial omics as a transformative tool for understanding human biology, disease mechanisms, and precision medicine.

Your mission

This role will be as a coordinator for work towards a Spatial omics Cluster of Excellence. We are looking for a meticulous and independent person with strong organizational skills. You should have a PhD in biomedicine or a similar field. This position is a special fixed term employment (SÄVA) for a duration of 6 month. The major objectives of the role will be to lead stakeholder communications, workshop organization and report writing for the network. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Your profile

Essential for the candidate are:

  • PhD in biomedical science or equivalent
  • Expertise and experience in spatial biology
  • Experience in intersectoral stakeholder management and communications
  • Experience working in interdisciplinary settings
  • Experience in translational research
  • Experience in conference / workshop organization
  • Demonstrated expertise in report writing for national/international funding bodies
  • Excellent overall organizational skills
  • Excellent in teamwork
  • Leadership and independence
  • Ability to communicate regarding complex topics to experts and non-experts
