We are looking for a researcher with expertise in trace elements and their role in inflammatory conditions. The research will be conducted in the research group led by Anna Norrby-Teglund and Mattias Svensson at the Center for Infectious Medicine (CIM), Department of Medicine Huddinge, Karolinska Institutet. The position is a special fixed-term employment of 6 months, with the possibility of extension depending on organizational needs and possibilities.
The immune system is important for several of the body's functions and is critical in the defence against infections. Minerals and trace elements are central to several of the body's important biochemical and physiological functions, including the immune response.
The main task of the candidate is to conduct an in-depth literature review of the effect of minerals and trace elements on the immune system and immune response in infectious conditions.
