Would you like to help strengthen and develop epidemiological registry-based research in pediatric cancer at Karolinska Institutet? Join a leading research environment in pediatric oncology at the Division of Pediatric Oncology and Surgery, Department of Women’s and Children’s Health.
The department consists of six divisions with a clear profile that overlaps with the clinical activities at Karolinska University Hospital. Our division conducts broad research spanning from preclinical to clinical studies, including pharmaceutical research, healthcare science, and a dedicated registry unit.
The division includes several research groups and a registry unit focused on registration and clinical epidemiology in the field of pediatric cancer. The registry unit manages several research databases with its own research projects. In collaboration with the Swedish Childhood Cancer Registry (SBCR), a national quality registry, we aim to further develop our epidemiological research.
Our registries are a national resource and are to be utilized with the purpose of improving diagnostics, treatment, care, and follow-up for children in Sweden affected by cancer.
As research group leader and head of the registry unit, you report directly to the head of division. You will have overall responsibility for data security, development, content, and quality of our research databases, as well as the operations and quality development of the unit.
You will also have overarching financial and personnel responsibility for the unit, which currently consists of four employees.
The position is 50% and can be combined with other responsibilities, such as clinical practice or self-funded research. It may also be combined with the role of registry holder for the national quality registry SBCR (see ad 2-3422/2025).
