Your mission

You will be joining the El Manira laboratory at the Department of Neuroscience. Our research aims at understanding how the diversity of neurons and circuits in the central nervous system controls the versatility of motor behavior. We use a range of advanced techniques including electrophysiology, optogenetics, imaging and molecular biology to link the function of neurons, circuits and behavior.

Your profile

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor, a PhD or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish PhD is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. Completion of your doctoral degree within the last three years is considered an advantage. If there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.

We are looking for a very motivated candidate with a strong background in neuroscience and a documented experience in molecular, physiological, anatomical, and behavioral analysis. The candidate should be able to work independently and in collaboration with other members of the lab.
