The HPA Alpha Cell Program at the Science for Life Laboratory in Stockholm is part of the Human Protein Atlas project (www.proteinatlas.org). This newly launched research program is working to map the proteins of the human body, with a focus on analyzing different parts of the human proteome. This work is crucial for identifying which proteins are expressed in human cells and tissues under various physiological conditions. The Mammalian RNA atlas is part of this effort with a focus on the evolutionary proteome, mapping what proteins are conserved across mammalian species and what are different.
