The Department of Global Public Health is a multidisciplinary department with the aim to advance knowledge about challenges and opportunities for public health in a local, national, and global setting. Many researchers at the department are scientific advisors to authorities and other decision makers at regional, national, and international levels. The department is responsible for three international master’s programs and the researchers are actively involved in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The department has 12 research groups, about 120 PhD students and about 140 employees.

The position is based in the research group IMPAQT (Implementation and Quality). The aim of the IMPAQT group is to generate knowledge on how to develop, implement, and evaluate strategies to improve quality of care globally. The position is time limited for full time.

Your mission

The research assistant will support the HPV-END-IT project, which aims to understand and strengthen HPV vaccine decisions and uptake in underserved communities in Sweden. This includes liaising with schools, leading co-design workshops, analyzing qualitative data and contributing to the preparations of a pilot trial. The research assistant will also support systematic reviews of the literature. We may also ask the research assistant to contribute to other tasks depending on need.

Your profile

You must have:

  • Master's degree in Global Health or similar.
  • Documented experience with qualitative research methods.
  • Documented prior involvement in grant proposal writing or funding applications as part of a research team.
  • Documented literature review and synthesis skills – including familiarity with Covidence and databases such as PubMed, Scopus, or Web of Science.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing.

It is an meritorious if you have experience of working with HPV vaccination and good academic writing and editing skills, preferably with experience of writing scientific texts or research applications. As a person, we expect you to be structured, thorough and able to work well in a team. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.
