In our group we use a translational research approach with sophisticated methods to further investigate the role of dietary constituents on physical performance and mitochondrial function.

Your mission

In this translational project on exercise physiology, you will be actively involved in clinical exercise studies as well as in vitro cell studies. Specific focus will be to study the role of isothiocyanates from broccoli sprouts and inorganic nitrate from beetroot juice on exercise parameters as well as mitochondrial function.

Your profile

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest for science and translational research in the exercise physiology field. Previous experience from translational studies and hands on knowledge regarding the performance of in vivo functional characterization of exercise parameters as well as experience from in vitro studies on mitochondrial function using high resolution oximetry are important merits. You must be a person who likes to work in teams and who communicates excellent in English.
