LIME has about 100 employees and is located in new facilities on the Solna Campus.

At the Management Center (MMC) at LIME, we are now seeking a Research Specialist in the field of Medical Leadership and Management. This is a research and educational field that has been established at MMC for 20 years. The role includes both research and teaching.

Your mission

MMC conducts research and education in healthcare management, leadership, implementation, organizational learning, innovation, and entrepreneurship within LIME. We offer a two-year global master’s program in Health Economics, Policy and Management (HEPM), a master’s in medical management, and several standalone courses.

As a research specialist, you will develop, lead, and conduct research projects in areas such as healthcare staff well-being, resilience, innovation, and leadership. This includes working in an internationally EU-funded project. You will be responsible for supporting international research collaboration within these themes as part of the EU project and with other international partners.

In addition to research, you will participate in teaching medical leadership and management at undergraduate, advanced, and executive levels offered by MMC. You will also lead the development of new elective courses in medical leadership. The position is within the Procome research group.

The current service also requires: 

  • Participate in research activities and develop new independent research projects
  • Lead and conduct qualitative data collection, primarily through interviews and focus group discussions
  • Conduct quantitative data collection and analysis
  • Scientific communication of research results
  • Communicate research findings to participating organizations and healthcare staff
  • Project administration
  • Plan and conduct courses, including learning activities and organizing guest lecturers
  • Supervise and coach students working on individual projects
  • Assess and grade assignments
  • Evaluate, report, and archive courses
  • Evaluate educational programs and contribute to strategic development
  • Develop new elective courses at the executive level

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for employment as a Research Specialist, in addition to holding a Degree of Doctor, PhD, or having a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a Swedish doctoral degree, the applicant must have demonstrated research expertise as well as have documented research experience after defending their doctoral dissertation.

Assessment criteria

Required Qualifications (must be documented):

  • PhD in medical management with a focus on leadership
  • Excellent skills in qualitative data collection and analysis methods
  • Experience in planning and teaching medical leadership and management at undergraduate, advanced, and executive levels (in both English and Swedish)
  • Experience in supervising and coaching students
  • Experience in developing courses for healthcare executives
  • Interest in the research field of medical management and leadership
  • Experience in research-based evaluation of leadership programs for healthcare executives
  • Experience conducting research projects related to leadership and/or medical management
  • Leadership experience
  • Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English (spoken and written)
  • Experience with quantitative data collection and analysis

  • Excellent ability to communicate and collaborate with international partners
  • Experience using validated instruments in the relevant fields
