Applied developmental neurobiology group led by Carl Sellgren is looking for a highly motivated research assistant with background in neurobiology and bioinformatics to contribute towards research on neuropsychiatric disorders. The position will be placed in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at the Karolinska Institutet, which has a collegial, international and dynamic research environment. Your mission

The candidate will work on integrating single-cell multiomics datasets relevant for neurodevelopment, develop innovative technologies to interpret data and provide bioinformatic support on methodology and analytical approaches to ongoing projects in the lab.

Your profile

  • Applicants must hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a field relevant for the work.
  • Applicants must possess strong bioinformatic skills and proficiency in programming languages.
  • Experience with machine learning is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with analysis and integration of multi-omics data with a focus on single-cell is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a tea.
