Do you want to contribute to better health for all?

This is a golden opportunity if you are interested in the relationship between health, new technology and work. We offer a dynamic, supportive and open research climate, where you are encouraged to think freely and explore your own ideas in a research group that was awarded “KI Work Environment and Health Award 2021”. This is the right place if you want to grow from postdoctoral researcher to PI.

Your mission

New technology and changing consumer and production patterns are changing the world of work. This, in turn, affects working conditions – including the health, safety and wellbeing of workers. The aim of the research programme ALGOSH: Algorithmic management at work - challenges, opportunities and strategies for occupational safety and health and wellbeing (2023 – 2029), is to address various challenges posed by these developments.

In ALGOSH you will work in an international consortium of top researchers from Sweden, Finland, Canada, USA, Spain and Australia, as well as liaising with on-going research projects on the themes algorithmic management and gig-workers. We need your help to collect and analyse quantitative and qualitative data, and with publishing the results.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills, take courses, supervise students, develop your own line of research and apply for your own funding.

Your profile

We think that you have a PhD in public health, political economy, political studies, labour market studies, labour relations, labour law, but we are open to PhD in other subjects.

Requirements:

  • Very good communication skills in Swedish and English
  • Strong track-record of publishing as a first author while collaborating with other researchers
  • Project management skills

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor, a PhD or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish PhD is required.
