The Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society (NVS) conducts world leading research in aging, dementia, epidemiology and care sciences. This research extends from basic molecular and cell levels to clinical research and societal studies. NVS educates almost a third of KI students at basic and advanced levels. The Department has approximately 540 employees and a revenue 2023 of 530 million SEK. It comprises seven divisions, located at Campus Flemingsberg and Campus Solna.

The Division of Neurogeriatrics consists of about 65 employees. The division conducts experimental and translational research related primarily to Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative diseases, but also more general molecular mechanisms with biomedical relevance are studied. The division is mainly located in BioClinicum, KI Campus Solna, and partially in Neo, KI Campus Flemingsberg.

Your mission

We are looking for a research assistant who can contribute to several ongoing projects in the Health Economics Research Group. These projects focus on economic evaluations of innovative treatments, diagnostic tests and prevention strategies for Alzheimer’s disease, along with novel payment models to support their implementation.

We are seeking a highly motivated research assistant who will work closely with our cross-disciplinary teams of economists, epidemiologists and medical doctors. You will be contributing to literature reviews and quantitative analyses of data from Swedish registers, including the Swedish Register of Cognitive Disorders and Dementia, and the Swedish Registry for Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia, and several cohort studies. The tasks will include assistance with literature reviews, data cleaning, data harmonization, statistical analyses, results evaluation, and contributing to the writing of articles.

This is a full-time (100%) position for 12 months.

Your profile

The successful candidate is expected to have:

  • A master’s degree in health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, or data science at the time of employment.
  • Strong programming skills in R or Python
  • Experience in quantitative health economics or epidemiological research in Alzheimer’s disease or aging.
  • Excellent proficiency in English, both spoken and written. Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is advantageous.
  • Strong ability to collaborate, work in a structured and meticulous manner, and effectively communicate with other colleagues.
