Your mission

In this position, you will:

  • Develop and optimize quantitative microscopy methods for kidney tissue analysis.
  • Work with advanced confocal microscopy, STED microscopy, and light sheet microscopy.
  • Analyze and quantify microscopy data to map biological structures and functions.
  • Collaborate with researchers and clinical partners.
  • Publish and present research findings in scientific settings. 

Your profile

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor, a PhD or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish PhD is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. Completion of your doctoral degree within the last three years is considered an advantage. If there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctoral fellow, you must have:

  • A doctoral degree in physics, biotechnology, biomedicine, or a related field.
  • Experience in advanced microscopy and image analysis.
  • Documented ability to conduct independent research.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with super-resolution microscopy (e.g., STED).
  • Knowledge of kidney physiology or biological tissue analysis.
  • Programming skills for image analysis.
