This postdoc position is located in Associate Professor Pauliina Damdimopoulou's research group at the Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBSGYN) within the Department of Clinical Science, Intervention, and Technology. Research and education at OBSGYN cover various aspects of women's reproductive health, including ovarian biology, endometrial receptivity, fertility preservation methods, reproductive toxicology, stem cell biology, developmental biology, and prenatal diagnostics. We offer a stimulating and dynamic research environment at the forefront of reproductive toxicology, with a strong focus on innovation and cutting-edge research in the field.
You will work within the ERC-funded project SAFER, which focuses on utilizing human stem cells and ovarian tissue to study toxicity mechanisms and develop new in vitro methods for assessing reproductive toxicity.
Your responsibilities will include:
Method development will be a central part of your work. You will also be expected to contribute to the supervision of students, design experiments, and prepare manuscripts, reports, and presentations.
Furthermore, you will collaborate with researchers both in Sweden and internationally and participate in meetings and other events to disseminate project results. The role also includes administrative tasks, such as research documentation and handling permits, as well as active participation in shared laboratory duties within the research group.
To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor, a PhD or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish PhD is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. Completion of your doctoral degree within the last three years is considered an advantage. If there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
