This position is located in Dr Mikael Benson's research group at the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat within the Department of Clinical Science, Intervention and Technology. Research and education in ENT includes various aspects of high-resolution identification of disease mechanisms, biomarkers and drug targets. We offer a dynamic environment at the forefront of research in these areas, which promotes innovation and exploration in the field.

This position refers to a fixed-term employment of 6 months.

Your mission

You will work in a multi-disciplinary project that aims to identify disease mechanisms, biomarkers and drug targets for early diagnosis and prevention of cancer. Your duties include performing machine learning and statistics on such mechanisms, biomarkers and drug targets under the supervision of Dr. Benson as well as compiling data for publication and presentations. You are also expected to participate in the common laboratory tasks in the group. In addition, you will collaborate with researchers in Sweden and internationally and participate in various project meetings. 

Your profile

We are looking for an ambitious and knowledgeable researcher with documented experience in the following areas:

  • Masters degree in machine learning and statistics
  • Parameter Efficient Studies of Large Language Models, Variational Autoencoders

In addition, experience in the following area is meritorious:

  • Parameter Efficient Studies of Large Language Models, Variational Autoencoders

Our research environment is international and the project involves close collaboration with several other research groups and clinics. Fluency in spoken and written English is therefore a requirement, as are strong social skills. The project also requires careful documentation, and the ideal candidate must have a detailed, accurate and well-organized work methodology.
