Division of Physiological Chemistry I stems from the laboratory of Jöns Jacob Berzelius (1779-1848), the great Swedish scientist that discovered and co- discovered six new elements. Berzelius, the first Chemistry professor at KI, was an avid proponent of mass measurements. Continuing Berzelius’ tradition, the Division bases its research on mass spectrometry, developing new methods to improve human health and prevent diseases.

Your mission

The position lasts three months. You will participate in the projects with the ultimate aim to detect the molecular signature of early Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and to prevent it further development. You will work in a multinational, multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.

Your profile

You have experience in developing and testing a new ELISA (Enzyme-Linked ImmunoSorbent Assay) and documentation for its regulatory approval. Knowledge of regulations concerning the use of in-vitro assays in clinics and research is beneficial. The working language is English; good oral and writing skills are essential. An experience of working in international environment is a plus.
