Join us in investigating the principles of proprioceptive circuit organization and their role in controlling movements.
The Lallemend Lab at the Department of Neuroscience at Karolinska Institute is seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher to explore the neural basis of central proprioception and its integration in sensorimotor circuits. Using advanced tools such as mouse genetics, viral tracers, single-cell omics, and physiological, anatomical, and behavioral assays, our work aims to uncover how proprioceptive signals shape motor behavior and close the feedback loop between sensory input and central motor commands
We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated postdoctoral candidate with a Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related field. The candidate should have proven experience with animal mouse models, including behavior analysis, and a strong interest in sensorimotor systems, demonstrated by prior publications. Expertise in methodologies and technologies for tracing sensory circuits, both peripherally and centrally, within the somatosensory domain is essential, as is proficiency in sensory system dissection. Experience with the organization and manipulation of the brainstem region is a merit. The successful candidate should have demonstrated success in securing competitive research grants and having prior experience supervising and mentoring students in a laboratory setting.
To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a phd or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish phd is required.
