As a research assistant, you will play a central role in data collection by analyzing eye movements in participants subjected to various motion provocations. This work involves following specific experimental protocols to record and analyze eye movements, as well as evaluating participants' subjective sensation of movement under varying conditions. The role requires precision and an interest in sensory perception, since you will contribute to deepening our understanding of the connection between eye movements, motion perception, and the balance system.
This role requires experience working with the Chronos eye-tracker as well as mechanized sleds for full-body rotations in an experimental setting. You should also have strong knowledge in balance and motion sensitivity. Since the study involves method development intended for future adaptation to clinical use, insights into Swedish healthcare and the medical profession are required. Therefore, the candidate for this position must have a medical degree. It is advantageous if you have publications in the field and clinical experience in neurology, ophthalmology, or psychiatry. Fluency in spoken and written Swedish and English is a requirement for the position.
