The Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology (MTC) at Karolinska Institutet conducts research and teaching within immunology, infection biology, cell biology and cancer. MTC have about 40 research groups and our key words are multidisciplinary, bridging, national and international collaborations.

Current projects involve antibody discovery, vaccine design, building models of molecular evolution, and various applications of deep learning.

Your mission

You will support research in the lab with:

  • Developing, maintaining, and/or contributing to Julia packages and codebases
  • Testing and documentation
  • Running computational experiments

Your profile

  • You must current be a current student at a Swedish university (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrable experience with the Julia programming language
  • Experience with Git version control
  • Publicly available Julia code (eg. in GitHub repositories)
  • Demonstrable experience with bioinformatics-related algorithm development
