The Cardiometabolic unit (CMU) is a dynamic research network dedicated to advancing the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiometabolic diseases, including dyslipidemia, atherosclerosis, diabetes and MASLD. Our research teams span a broad interdisciplinary field of expertise across molecular biology, biochemistry, hepatology, lipidology, cardiology, endocrinology, and genetics, fostering innovative research and collaborative breakthroughs in cardiometabolic research.

Your mission

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor, a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years. If there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be expected to:

Conduct advanced research in the specified field.
Collaborate on grant applications.
Participate in the supervision of doctoral students.

In addition to fluency in English, good knowledge of Swedish is required, as the position involves active participation in the application processes and close interactions with healthcare personnel and patients in a clinical setting.
