Your mission

This postdoctoral position is immediately available in Professor Margaret Sällberg Chen's research group at the Division of Pathology. We are looking for a researcher to be part of a translational research team that is investigating the role of the microbiome in infectious diseases and cancer. He/she will work primarily with the group´s microbiome research and contribute with meta-analyses such as microbiome data management and bioinformatics and laboratory analysis. The work will be conducted in a research-intensive environment with focus on precision health.

The position is suitable for a motivated and experienced researcher who is experienced in NGS workflow and resource tools within oral and gut microbiome research, with practical experiences around this work and relevant publications. Besides bioinformatics and data visualizations, good organizational and methodological skills incl. processing of patient samples, biobanking, RNA/DNA purification, and validation analysis on sequencing data, are preferred.

Your profile

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish doctoral degree is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
