We are looking for an ambitious research assistant with a background in nutrition. The research assistant will be working within the IMPACT research group, which is led by Professor Marie Löf (https://ki.se/en/medh/research-at-the-department-of-medicine-huddinge/research/the-impact-research-group-marie-lof) under the supervision of Dr Christine Delisle Nyström. The research in the IMPACT group primarily focuses upon the prevention of overweight and obesity in pregnancy and early childhood through the promotion of healthy lifestyle behaviours. The group has a large focus on digital health and has many years’ experience in developing tools for maternity and child healthcare.

We are looking for a research assistant for a research project focusing on the promotion of healthy lifestyle behaviours starting in early infancy.

Your mission

In your roll as a research assistant you will work within the Health4Life randomized controlled trial, which aims to support parents in creating healthy lifestyle behaviours from early infancy. You will work with creating content for the digital intervention using evidence-based information regarding child feeding, activity, sleep (including written text, pictures, and videos). You will also support with the recruitment of participants, data collection (both quantitative and qualitative) as well as data analysis. Thus, we are looking for someone with knowledge in early childhood nutrition and physical activity.

Your profile

We are looking for a highly motivated person that can work independently as well as in a team. The applicant should have a Master’s degree in nutrition or a related field. An interest and strong knowledge of infant feeding and early child nutrition (0-2 years) is a merit. Demonstrated strong communication skills in English and Swedish both written and orally is advantageous. Swedish fluency (speaking and writing) is a requirement as this position will require the applicant to develop intervention material in Swedish as well as communicate with both parents and child healthcare nurses. We are looking for someone who takes their own initiatives and takes responsibility for their own tasks. You need to have good time management skills and prioritize the work in an effective manner in order to meet deadlines. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for the position.
