We are looking for an ambitious research assistant with a background in human immunology. Joining our research team offers a unique opportunity to work closely with leading researchers in immunology, virology, and public health. Your mission

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. You will work closely with our lab manager, postdocs, and PhD students in Assoc. Prof. Marcus Buggert’s group. Your responsibilities will include managing peripheral blood and tissue samples from various human cohorts, preparing samples for direct analysis of cell-mediated immune responses, and biobanking for future research. Additionally, you will likely be directly involved in specific research projects focusing on T cells.

Your profile

The applicant should have a Master’s degree (MSc) in biomedicine, molecular biology, or a related field by the start date. Documented experience in handling peripheral blood from patients, preparing samples for direct analysis, and biobanking for future research is required. Extensive experience working with human tissue samples, organoid preparation, flow cytometry applications, and in BSL-2 laboratories will be considered a merit. For this position, characteristics such as cooperation, availability, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with the research team are especially valued.

It is particularly meritorious that the applicant has

  • Been trained in human immunology during her/his Master’s studies
  • Extensive cell culture background
  • Process human blood and tissue samples
  • Organoid preparation
  • Flow cytometry experience
  • Fluency in English

It is meritorious that the applicant has

  • Laboratory molecular and cell biology skill sets (e.g. usage of sequencing technologies)
