Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

As an assistant, you will have an active role in MultiPRESS - Multiscale Imaging for Cardiovascular Pressure Gradients, a research project in magnetic resonance imaging funded by the European Research Council (ERC). The role includes working with existing neural networks for image analysis and image processing with technical experience, as well as the creation of flow dynamic computer models, where work reports directly to project manager David Marlevi and his research team.

The position is a temporary employment of 4 months with a scope of 25 percent of full time with the possibility of extension.

Your role

As a teaching assistant, you will work as research support for ongoing translational studies. This may include parametric evaluation of existing neural networks for super-resolution, image segmentation, or the like. Work may also include the creation of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) setups to complement imaging and training of various cardiovascular compartments. Your duties include reporting work back to the research team and project manager, summarizing work in open code repositories (github or similar), and participating in scientific publications and compilations.

Who are you?

Only those admitted to first or second-cycle courses and study programs in Sweden may be employed as teaching assistants.

As the tasks include the implementation of evaluation of neural networks and/or supplementary CFD models, you need to be a student in relevant technical education (e.g. computer science, applied mathematics, or similar). You are well organized and can work independently. As the work may include patient contact, great importance is placed on social competence and communicative ability. Previous experience of research-related work is meritorious. We also attach great importance to personal suitability.
