Department of Laboratory Medicine Huddinge/Division of Pathology (LABMED) consists of 7 divisions and is active in many areas of Laboratory Medicine. The department is involved in advanced basic, translational, clinical and epidemiological research. The department is one of the largest departments of education at Karolinska Institutet.

Currently, the group of Associate Professor Dhifaf Sarhan is looking for a research assistant for a temporary position for 1 year full-time.

Your mission

We are looking for an ambitious researcher working with immune cells, as well as conducting analyses to identify phenotypic and molecular signatures and changes in health and cancer. The work will involve laboratory work including cell culture, immune cell isolation, handling of blood and tissues, and various techniques in cell and molecular biology.

Your profile

To be considered for this position you should:

•  Have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in biology/biomedical sciences/ Biomedical Laboratory Science or basic medical training 
•  Have at least 6 months laboratory experience 
•  Have experience working with human samples and cell culturing 
•  Have basic knowledge in the field of immunology 
•  Have the ability to understand and communicate in English in order to work independently
