We offer a position in our Protein science team under the supervision of Opher Gileadi. Our research team works with a variety of biological samples like human proteins, plasmids, bacteria and antibodies and your assignment is to aliquote, structure and document these samples.

Your mission

Your role is to help us structure our biological samples by taking samples in and out of our low temperature freezers, aliquote samples into new 2D barcoded tubes, and meticulously and accurately register each sample in excel. You will need to report your hours in a time recording system

Your profile

We are looking for a summer student that is eager to do an exact and careful job. You must be brave enough to ask if there are any uncertainties or if anything goes wrong. Previous experience from experimental work is a merit and we prefer if you already know how to pipet biological samples in a sterile environment. Good computer skills and knowledge of excel is desired. You must be able to communicate well in English (both spoken and written).

Location

The position is located within the Department of Medicine, Solna. The department consists of eleven divisions and each division consists of several research groups. The position is located within  Michael Sundström’s research group under the supervision of Opher Gileadi, Team leader for Protein Science.
