We are looking for a Research Infrastructure Specialist that will help us to develop the future collection, analysis and integration of multimodal data collected at the Centre for Imaging Research (CIR), and to develop the integration between data collected at CIR and data from Region Stockholm. The position will be located at Karolinska Institutet, Centre for Imaging Research, at BioClinicum. We offer an inspiring job in a stimulating and international working environment. Your mission

The successful candidate will create new and develop existing services that allow users from industry, academia, and healthcare to better utilize multimodal human brain imaging data. The Research Infrastructure Specialist will also work on collecting multimodal brain imaging reference datasets at CIR. This effort contributes to the ongoing enhancement of services provided by imaging facilities at CIR. The Research Infrastructure Specialist is expected to guide and support KI researchers, mainly those engaged with multimodal brain imaging at CIR.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for an employment as Research Infrastructure Specialist the applicant must have demonstrated research expertise and been awarded a doctorate or a qualification from a foreign higher education institution deemed equivalent to a Swedish degree of doctor. The applicant must also have demonstrated technological and methodological expertise.

We are looking for a Research Infrastructure Specialist who:

  • Has an academic doctoral degree within neuroscience, brain imaging, medicine, medical technology, molecular biology, or AI
  • Has experience from research with advanced brain imaging techniques such as MRI, PET, MEG and EEG

Assessment criteria

It is particularly meritorious that the applicant has shown

  • experience from analysis and integration of multimodal brain imaging data
  • experience from programming and software development, for example in Python, R and Matlab
  • a documented interest in further developing existing imaging techniques and an interest in combining different techniques to elevate development and research to a higher level
  • experience with and an interest in collaboration with academia, industry, as well as health care
  • traits that shows that you are structured, systematic, and precise, with good prioritization skills
  • fluent knowledge in both spoken and written English

It is meritorious that the applicant has shown

  • proficiency in Swedish
