A research assistant position is available in the lab of Pekka Katajisto at the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology, Karolinska Institutet. The Department of Cell and Molecular Biology (CMB) is a department with a strong focus on basic science. CMB conducts research and education in cell biology, molecular biology, developmental biology, stem cell biology, cancer and infection biology. CMB is located in Biomedicum, a new interdisciplinary research center designed to concentrate much of the experimental research conducted at Karolinska Institutet Campus Solna under one roof to promote collaboration.

Your mission

We are seeking an enthusiastic person who will work on a project where by using in vitro systems, we study stem cell intrinsic mechanisms of tissue renewal and homeostasis.
The employment includes experimental laboratory work, data processing, data analysis and report writing.

Your profile

Applicants with a master’s degree, and experience in one or more of the following fields are encouraged to apply:

- Cell culture
- Flow cytometry 
- Microscopy
- English and Swedish proficiency is a must
- Experience with bioinformatics and report writing as well as previous publications record is      considered a benefit.
