In the internationally organized collaborative effort across research groups in Sweden and Finland,you will identify gene regulatory elements such as enhancers and gene promoters in dog and wolf genomes based on the most comprehensive RNA sequencing-based expression atlas generated by the Dog Genome Annotation (DoGA) Consortium.

Your mission

For this, you will overall organise the data and metadata for the Consortium. You keep regular contact to the DoGA principal investigators and participate in consortium groups, organise and update all details about the samples and sample metadata, organise all sequencing data produced by the DoGA Consortium, organise and regularly update the DoGA Data Coordination Center (DCC), update the DoGA consortium website. You propose creative ways to visualise DoGA data and research results and keep the DoGA Consortium website up to date. For more information see Doggenomeannotation.org and Daublab.org

This employment is a temporary position for one year.


Your profile

You have a master’s degree in bioinformatics, computer sciences, computational biology, or equivalent experiences. You have good statistical knowledge and experience working with high-throughput sequencing data. You are proficient in data analysis using R and/ or Python in a Linux environment. You are highly self-motivated, productive, and like to work in an interdisciplinary research team. You have experiences in organizing large datasets. Great emphasis will be put on personal suitability.
