Postdoctoral Researcher in imaging research and infrastructure development

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher that will help us to develop the future infrastructure for AI and research data within life science in Sweden and Europe. The position will be located at KI but will be part of the collaboration with Centre for Imaging Research (CIR), and operates from the Swedish node of the European TEF-HEALTH initiative. Your mission

The successful candidate will create and develop existing structures that allow users from industry, academia, and healthcare to access facilities and services within the Swedish node of the TEF-Health project. The postdoctoral researcher will also coordinate the services offered by the Swedish TEF-Health node through a central contact point and also develop the pricing of these services together with the TEF-Health consortium and with the developments taking place at the collaborating organizations.

The position includes the development and coordination of facility services related to imaging at CIR for TEF-Health accessibility and to support the development of services specifically targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) working on AI and robotics innovations for healthcare. The candidate will also be involved in collecting and analyzing diverse data from imaging at CIR and complementary facilities. This effort contributes to the ongoing enhancement of services provided by CIR. The postdoctoral researcher are expected to guide and support KI researchers, mainly those engaged with the core facilities, as they collaborate with industry and external partners.

The role may involve travel within the EU.

Your profile

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher who:

• Have an academic doctoral degree in imaging, medicine, medical technology, molecular biology, or AI.
• Have experience in research with advanced imaging techniques at research infrastructures, as well as an in-depth understanding of working with various imaging techniques for both animals and humans.
• Have a documented interest in further developing existing imaging techniques and an interest in combining different techniques to elevate development and research to a higher level.
• Have practical experience in designing various forms of collaboration and a good understanding of the rules, regulations, and documents that govern operations at a Swedish educational institution and must be considered when collaborating with external partners.
• Have experience with and an interest in collaboration with academia, industry, as well as health care.
• Are structured, systematic, and precise, with good prioritization skills.
• Are fluent in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
