The Department of Global Public Health is a multidisciplinary department with the aim to advance knowledge about challenges and opportunities for public health in a local, national, and global setting. Research at the department is focused on how different societal and individual factors affect population health, and to develop and evaluate structural and individual-oriented interventions. Many researchers at the department are scientific advisors to authorities and other decision makers at regional, national, and international levels. The department has 12 research groups, about 110 PhD students and about 140 employees.
The position will be within Implementation and quality (IMPAQT), led by Claudia Hanson. The research group is located in Solna. Your will find a unique opportunity to be part of large international consortia with members in Latin America, Africa, Asia and Europe and strong links to leading institutions within the field in Europe and beyond.
Your work will include a wide portfolio of supporting research and research management within our ongoing research and the EU-project ALERT. The main tasks will be to support the use of data as collected through the ALERT project. You will lead and support paper writing. We also expect some engagement in teaching in the field of epidemiology, supervising students at MSc level as well as contributing to new grant applications. Thus, we are looking for a researcher with strong epidemiological skills. The applicant will work with multi-disciplinary teams and should have excellent skill in teamwork and communication. The applicant should be willing to perform duty travels as required.
This is s full time position during 8 months with possibility to extend up to 12 months.
Qualified to be employed as a research assistant is someone who has a Master’s degree in Public Health, Global Health, Epidemiology or a degree in Medicine.
