We are seeking an ambitious and skilled postdoctoral researcher to join the Centre for Pharmacoepidemiology (CPE) at the Department of Medicine Solna, KI. CPE was established in 2005 and has become a dynamic research environment at the intersection of academia, healthcare, regulatory authorities, and the pharmaceutical industry. CPE is one of the largest academic pharmacoepidemiology centres in Europe, with active Nordic, European, and international collaborations. We are about 15 employees and a number of affiliated researchers, including epidemiologist, clinicians, statisticians, project coordinators, and doctoral students. For more information about CPE, see https://ki.se/en/meds/centre-for-pharmacoepidemiology.
The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to research studies within the fields of reproductive/perinatal pharmacoepidemiology conducted in population-based register-data. CPE has decades of experience in this research area and is involved in several national, Nordic, and international studies focusing on medication use during pregnancy and the benefits and consequences for mother and child.
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be a part of a team performing both academic-driven and regulator-mandated pharmacoepidemiologic studies on drug utilization and safety in reproductive aged women and during pregnancy using national health registers from Sweden.
You are expected to take a leading role in the entire research process, from research planning and project administration, ethical application, data processing and analysis, to interpretation and dissemination of research findings under the supervision of assistant professor Carolyn Cesta and in collaboration with members of the research group. Further, you will contribute to studies conducted in collaboration with researchers from other Nordic and international research groups. You are also expected to participate in the supervision of doctoral or master students, as well as activities related to research at CPE and in the Clinical Epidemiology Division (KEP). There is also an opportunity to develop and pursue your own research ideas within the field.
To be eligible for employment as a postdoc, a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years; if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
We place great importance on personal suitability and are looking for a highly motivated employee who appreciates working in a team while at the same time has a high degree of independence.
